Farmison & Co Game Dinner

What could be better than a night of fine art and fine dining? Enjoy both at Tate Britain’s Rex Whistler restaurant, with a special autumnal evening of game and wine inspired by Whistler’s mural, The Expedition in Pursuit of Rare Meats. Seasonal British game will be supplied by family-owned butcher Farmison & Co, which specialises in traditional heritage breed British meats and supply to the likes of Fortnum & Mason and The Club at The Ivy. The evening will begin with a drinks reception and talk from Farmison & Co commercial director Andrew Cavanna, followed by a set dinner of delicious dishes such as wild game pressed terrine and slow-cooked venison loin.

Funny Girl – The Musical

Did you miss the critically-acclaimed West End production of Funny Girl earlier this year? Not to worry: this October is your chance to catch a pre-recorded screening at Curzon Victoria. Taking on Barbra Streisand’s iconic turn as tragi-comic Broadway starlet Fanny Brice is no mean feat, but the ever-dependable Sheridan Smith does a stirling job.

Liza Pulman sings Streisand

Speaking of Streisand… acclaimed singer and comedian Liza Pulman (of Fascinating Aïda fame) will be making her Other Palace Theatre debut with her critically-lauded touring show, which celebrates the life and music of the legendary American entertainer.

Japanese ink & watercolour workshop: irises & dragonflies

Learn the art of traditional Japanese ink and watercolour painting at this exclusive workshop hosted by Pimlico farm shop Daylesford. This particular class is dedicated to irises and dragonflies, with London-based teacher Talia LeHavi showing you how to create simple, minimalist shapes through traditional brushwork.
