Have an awesome autumn with these fun family activities
Victoria Palace Theatre
If you haven’t seen Lin-Manuel Miranda’s visionary hip hop musical yet, now’s your chance because Hamilton is playing at The Victoria Palace Theatre until 13th February 2022. Suitable for adults and children over the age of 10, this isn’t a show for the tiniest members of your family, but older kids will be entertained by the naughtiness, while gaining an insight into American history at the same time.
Buckingham Palace Family Guided Tour
Join the expert guide at Buckingham Palace for a fun-filled day that highlights stories about the Palace and its history. The experience lasts around an hour and ends with a copy of the official souvenir guide. The tour is available every Saturday & Sunday from 6th Nov to 30th Jan 2022.
Get crafty at The British Museum
On 25th November, under-5s can explore the art of ancient Peru at The British Museum in their Little Feet: Peruvian patterns creative session.
Find repeating patterns, feel textures, have a go at weaving and paint a bag to take home. This event is part of the programme supporting the exhibition Peru: a journey in time (11th November 2021 – 20th February 2022).
Treat the whole family to a trip to the luxurious Curzon. Grab popcorn and a drink at the bar, and settle down for some incredible new releases – from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, to Clifford the Red Dog and the next Marvel installment, The Eternals. Keep an eye on the schedule, as there will be plenty to get you and the kids in a festive mood as well!
Grab a bite…
At Create Victoria you’re really spoilt for family dining options. At Franco Manca, Bill’s and Nando’s you’ll find a kids meal deal for just £5.95 – so whether your little one fancies bangers and mash, pizza or burgers, it’s not going to break the (piggy) bank. All three restaurants provide decent veggie or vegan options, too.
Something for everyone
If you’ve got a particularly picky eater to cater for, we’ve got some really good choices for you, too! The incredible menu at Zizzi has a huge range for little ones. Take your pick from pasta, pizzas, fish goujons, yummy sides and a selection of sweet treats. There are loads of veggie options, and little nibbles for the smallest of appetites. While over at Leon we think you’d be hard pushed to find a more extensive or flexible children’s menu. And if the children’s menu doesn’t appeal, the flavourful light bites and sides from the main menu are perfect for when you’re on the go.
Lastly, while there isn’t strictly a children’s menu at Shake Shack, there are plenty of tasty and affordable options that kids are sure to love. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers and fries or hotdogs and shakes, you’re guaranteed to have a good time at Shake Shack. It’s a treat that the whole family will love – perfect for making memories on a day out in the city.
